Project Description:

The purpose of the Curb Program is to replace deteriorating curb & gutter on streets that are scheduled to be part of the City Overlay Program in the following fiscal year. Generally streets with major deterioration are selected for the program. The curb on these streets is entirely removed and replaced with new concrete curb & gutter that meets the current City requirements for concrete materials. The new requirements for concrete materials are considerably more durable than the material that was placed by developers in the past.

Project Rationale:

The replacement of failing curb and gutter reduces both resident complaints and the load put on the City of Lee's Summit Operations division that is responsible for repairing and maintaining the City's infrastructure.
