Project Description:

Kansas City, Missouri Water Services Department will construct 36,000' of water transmission piping from the East Bottoms Pump Station to Stadium Drive and I-435 to provide additional supply to Lee's Summit. Notification to Kansas City to begin the project was sent in January 2003.

Project Rationale:

Increases water supply from KC to Lee's Summit by 6 MGD to serve future customers.

Status Details:

The contractor has started to work on the remaining main. Kansas City engineers anticipate completion by June 2011.
