Project Description:
This project involves replacement or rehabilitation of 22,600 lf of existing 4, 6 and 8-inch waterlines in multiple locations in the city. Specific locations include S. Lea at 6th and 7th; Highland and adjacent streets north of Persels; the Raintree development (Royale, Reef Point, Averio); Lorman and Elwood; Donovan and Carroll; and Cambridge west of Independence.
Project Rationale:
The existing mains have had numerous breaks due to corrosion of existing pipes, resulting in service outages and high repair costs in these areas.
