Project Description:
Segment 1 consists of replacing and upsizing approximately 9,481 lineal feet of sanitary sewer pipe ranging in size from 30-inch to 54-inch in diameter. This project is located in the Cedar Creek watershed between and including manhole 20-001 to manhole 28-276. Segment 2-1 consists of replacing and upsizing approximately 1,230 lineal feet of sanitary sewer pipe ranging in size from 30-inch to 36- inch in diameter. This project is located in the Cedar Creek watershed and including manhole 28- 276 to manhole 28-044. Segment 2-1 connects with Segment 1 at manhole 28-276.
Project Rationale:
The interceptor segments 1 and 2-1 have been identified in the Wastewater Master Plan (June 2007) as being undersized for the inability to convey predicted peak wet weather flows and not meet the future needs of development. The condition of the existing pipe system is a concern. Current flow monitoring of this sanitary sewer alignment indicated condition issues with this particular line.
Status Details:
The contractor has delivered pipe to the site. Manholes are expected by July 7, 2010. The contractor will begin work after the manholes are delivered.
