Project Description:

This project is one of six in the Lee's Summit Thoroughfare Master Plan. Funding for this project comes from the extension of the 1/2 cent sales tax (for Transportation Improvements) passed by voters in the spring of 2007. The project will construct a new roadway from M-291 east to the intersection of Hamblen Road and Bailey Road. A significant part of the project will be the design and construction of a bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad.

The concept / study phase is complete. Design work began in February 2010. Design, permitting and property acquisition is expected to take between 12 months and 18 months.
