Project Description:

This project is completion of approximately 1/2- mile of Lakewood Way north of Woods Chapel Road. These segments complete the realignment of this road through the Eastport commercial development and adds a traffic signal at the intersection of Woods Chapel and Lakewood Way.

Project Rationale:

The realignment of the road provides increased separation between the Woods Chapel/I-470 interchange and the intersection of Lakewood Way and Woods Chapel in accordance with MoDOT standards. This separation will eliminate many of the traffic congestion problems occuring at the current intersection location.

Status Details:

Water line relocation is complete and storm drainage system is near completion. Rough grading has ben completed. The project is moving along well.
